Spiced Cookie/Cookie Butter

These delicious spiced cookies that can be turned into an absolutely addictive cookie butter to spread over your favorite treats! It is also the cookie butter I’ll be using on my next YouTube video. Oh, and did I mentioned that the cookies and the butter are vegan as well?


• 200g = 7oz Unbleached All Purpose Flour
• 52g = 1.83oz Soy flour *
• 1.5g = ¼ tsp Baking soda
• 1 T Cinnamon, ground
• 1tsp Ginger, ground
• ½ tsp Nutmeg, ground
• ½ tsp Allspice, ground
• ½ tsp Cardamom, ground
• ¼ tsp Cloves, ground

• 150g = ¾ cup Sugar
• 2.5g = ½ tsp Kosher salt
• 100g = 3.5oz Brown sugar syrup**
• 140g = 5oz Vegetable shortening

*Soy flour: You can order it online but if you can’t find it, try replacing half of it with whole-wheat flour and half with cornstarch.

**Brown sugar syrup: You can buy it but if you can’t find it, here’s the recipe for a homemade one: • 200g Dark brown sugar
• 113g water
• 20g Light corn syrup


If you would like to turn the cookies into cookie butter: • 320g = 11oz Cookies
• 50g = 1.7oz Coconut oil (or Canola oil)
• 58g = 2oz Water
• 50g = 1.7oz Brown sugar syrup (or honey)
• 1 tsp Spice mix from the recipe




Spread the cookie butter it over pancakes, fruit, cookies, toast or anything you would like to taste amazing! Or simply eat the delicious spiced cookies maybe with some hot cinnamon tea or hot cocoa.
