Berries Galette

I love making simple desserts for the Fourth of July.

I make a simple blueberry marmalade to spread on the bottom of a store-bought puff pastry sheet and then add all my favorite berries on top. Bake it all together, serve with ice cream (of course!) and there you have an amazingly flaky, sweet and tart dessert that can be served at any temperature.

INGREDIENTS

MARMALADE:

• 200g = 7oz blueberries
• 30g = 1oz sugar
• 1 lemon peel

GALETTE

• 1 Puff pastry sheet (245g or 8.8oz)
• 2 cups mixed berries
• 2 T sugar
• 1 egg
• Ice cream to serve with

Let it cool slightly and serve together with the ice cream of your choice. Enjoy and Happy Fourth of July!
