Bechamel Sauce

Bechamel sauce is part of what are known as “Mother Sauces” because it is a base sauce for many preparations. Bechamel is that super creamy milk sauce used for many pasta dishes, lasagna and so much more. Check out my Instagram post where I teach you how to make it.


• 4T = 56g Butter, unsalted
• 6T = 56g All purpose flour
• 4 cups = 908g = 2lb Whole or 2% milk
• Salt and white pepper to taste
• 1 dry bay leaf (optional)



Use it to dress your favorite pasta dishes, pizza, for a stew, a braise or simply add on top of some crusty bread with a drizzle of evoo. Enjoy!
