Apple Crumb Pie

I love a good old Apple Pie but I like it even more with a crunchy streusel topping.  That’s why I created this recipe that used to be a fan favorite at my shop and will sure be a favorite among anyone you make it for!

INGREDIENTS

PIE CRUST
• 325g = 11.4oz All Purpose Flour, unbleached
• 226g = 8oz Butter, cold, unsalted
• 5g = 1tsp Sugar
• Pinch Salt
• Ice water, as needed

STREUSEL TOPPING
• 170g All Purpose Flour, unbleached
• 170g = 8oz Butter, cold, unsalted
• 100g Light brown sugar
• 70g Nuts, your favorite(s)
• 45g Old fashioned oats
• 2g Cinnamon, ground
• Pinch salt

PIE FILLING
• 958g = 2lb Apples like Honeycrisp, Gala, Fuiji or a combination
• 48g = ¼ cups Light brown sugar
• 42g = ⅓ cup All Purpose Flour
• 6g = 1 T Cinnamon, ground
